1. Junior Research Fellow-JRF ( 30 Indicative)
Areas of Research Projects:
1.Chemistry: Chemical thermodynamics, Solid state and high temperature chemistry, Electrochemistry, Spectroscopy and laser, Radiochemistry, Advanced separation techniques, Actinide Chemistry, Trace and ultra trace analytical techniques and Chemical sensors
2.Physics/Materials Science: Solid State Phase transformations, Superconductivity, Structure and dynamics of soft condensed matter, Band structure studies, Accelerators based Irradiation induced phenomena, Low-dimensional systems, Physics of interfaces, Nano-materials, Thin films technology and Theoretical physics
3.Metallurgy/Materials Technology: Solid State Phase transformations, Materials development and characterization, Phase equilibria, Creep, Fatigue, Texture and Fracture studies, Microstructural, surface modification and characterization studies, Corrosion and Interface phenomenon.
4.Engineering Sciences: Robotics and Development of Intelligent machines, Thermal Hydraulics and Structural Mechanics, Design of critical components, Nanotechnology, Modeling studies, Post-accident Safety Analysis, Wireless networking, Parallel computing, Embedded and Simulator systems, Non-destructive Evaluation and Reliability, Chemical Process Design and Modeling
5.Meteorology/Atmospheric Sciences: Atmospheric Dispersion Modeling and Cyclone and Storm Surge Modeling

Qualification:
1.Category-A - M.Sc.
2.Category-B - B.E./B.Tech../ B.Sc. Engineering/ B.Sc. [Tech.]
3.Category-C - M.Sc. / B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. Engineering / B.Sc.[Tech])
Selection Procedure: Suitable candidates will be selected based on Written Test and Interview.
Fellowship and Tenure: Rs.16000/- for the First two years and Rs.18000/- + for the Third year onwards.

2.Send the completed Application Form and Hall Ticket Form printed out on A4 size sheets along with the required enclosures by Post (Registered or speed post of Indian Postal service)
3.Superscribe the envelope: “JRF, Advt. No. 03/2011” & also the discipline clearly (as given in 2-Qualifying Degrees)
Important Check List: Attested copies of the following certificates must accompany the application form without which the application is liable to be rejected.

8. UGC-CSIR NET Fellowship certificate, JEST-2011 score sheet, GATE score sheet where applicable.
